Exactly why he either would be dialling it in or will relish the challenge. Could imagine him loving the idea of winning the derby

He won the shittest European trophy come on jesus christ.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 2:12 pm Took over West Ham in a similar position and rebuilt them to the point they won a European trophy.
This summer will be a pivotal moment for the coming years and Moyes is very good by and large in the transfer market which we will need. Can't afford to get that window wrong.
I think Moyes leading the team out at Bramley Moor would get at least some fans excited because of his history with us.
Like I said wouldn't be what I'd hoped for but his experience and understanding of how to build a team would be a huge asset.
Course we would die to win it but I cba saying it was a massive achievement.
Saying the fans would be excited cos of his history with us hahah
Never winning at the top 6 in ten years. Taking the piss by speaking to united behind our back. Taking the piss by trying for Baines and Fellaini?
Come on. Have some self respect.
Re: Next Everton Manager
How are you turning your nose up at a Europa Conference League when we are and have been a disaster of a club for years? Imagine actually being that good and having something to actually celebrate.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 7:37 pm He won the shittest European trophy come on jesus christ.

I said SOME fans, and also said not everyone, no idea why you're making out I've said the majority would be?
Self respect? I'm not sure we're in a position to worry about self respect and haven't been for ages. I'm not 100% advocating for Moyes, I said as much, but whoever the best man available is that suits where we are as a club I want, be that Moyes, Carsley or Sarri etc etc. I won't turn my nose up at someone under some weird notion of self respect.
Re: Next Everton Manager
Jose would be a risk but ticks a lot of boxes.
You’d expect a decent new manager bounce
His relatively defensive style wouldn’t be a complete change for our current players
Would be easier to attract a decent level of player
Big enough name to likely help attract the sponsorship we need at the club and new ground - he’s a media magnet be that for the right or wrong reasons
A good option

Isn't that our only claim to European fame?Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 7:37 pm He won the shittest European trophy come on jesus christ.
Re: Next Everton Manager
Bo Henriksen is an interesting one.
Doing well with Mainz now after good spells in Denmark and Switzerland.
Played in the lower leagues a bit so familiar with the English game.

Considering where West Ham and ourselves are at the moment it will be a good indication of how he may have done here.

Re: Next Everton Manager
“Potter had received other offers since leaving Chelsea, but had chosen to join West Ham given the stable ownership and a track record of allowing managers time to build.
Potter also felt the club had a good squad compared to others in the lower end of the Premier League and the job felt like a good fit”
Read, Everton wanted to speak to me but fuck me they’ve got some shit players
