Go back and watch his misses against City and Sunderland, last season - will make this much more palatable.

As much as we want him to stay, this is the model we should be doing, identifying players, buying relatively cheap and selling high.
I’ll be gutted losing him, but we’ll make a mahoosive profit, get Jack back (and someone had to go if we’re bringing him back) and we can reinvest in the squad. He’s about 25-26 now so realistically he’s reaching his peak value. Sad but also correct way to go.
The same will happen with George I reckon, 2-3 years of improvement and we flip for whatever absurd amount that players are going for then.

I think the opposite, all clubs are stepping stones for players , players sign for loads of various reasons , Barry gave up CL footy because he wanted to play in the prem ...but very rarely do players stay , other than Pickford recently and say Baines......

Even the squad could be having the same differing opinions we are having, how we meant to improve if we are selling are best players , it's an opportunity for someone else to step up and we invest ......... hopefully not buy shite

Selling your best players doesn't encourage others to sign and doesn't take the club forwards.
Keeping them is a sign of intent
Not selling.
Entitled to your opinion, but I think it's the opposite. For any up and coming player we are evidencing that if you play well we can be that stepping stone, and if we're honest that's what we are ATM. Hopefully it'll encourage up and coming stars not too take the jump to a City to early and sit on their bench, but come to us, play, flourish, then move on and we won't stop it, if the price is right.
Selling a 'star' player each year is how we will progress, until our revenue matches our ambition

It’s why Brighton struggle to sign any upcoming players

Well at least he's gonna be cup tied when we beat City in the League Cup Final!

Not a fan of European football?

How about Newcastle and some CL football?
