He had the season I was totally expecting from him and I saw enough to think there was a really good player there.
For me it was his absolute disgraceful lack of effort in many games. His victim mentality. The derby.... Anyway enough of that !! Go Barry!!

Forest have entered the race - I can see a scenario on deadline day where Beto goes to Forest and we sign Delap

Yeah let’s bring in another striker who can’t score goes around bashing people for big money on big wages I know he would appeal to certain Everton supporters who loved Ferguson throwing his weight around but this guy is absolutely rubbish at doing what a striker should do which is scoring

I think he’s a good player.

Scored a few for a really bad Ipswich team.

I don’t know why our fanbase has decided he’s one of the worst strikers to ever play the game.

He definitely can score goals, his biggest issue is his fitness and the fact that Chelsea are over valuing him and not lowering his price to account for the risk factor of his injury history.

I just had a look and over his career he’s got a goal every hundred and eighty minutes which is fine for a striker considering he’s supposed to be a hold up/battering ram not a poacher

He's a good finisher. I watched a video back when we tried to buy him breaking down his finishing, he's able to finish with both feet and score a variety of goals.

The issue for me is that he's probably not even worth what Chelsea paid for him, let alone nearly double.

We can't be forking out up to £50m on a striker with one decent season, especially when we have Barry who we bought instead and needs to play to develop.

If we could get Delap on loan with an option to buy for around £25m I'd be inclined to bring him in, but otherwise the price is too high, and the need too low for such a high priced gamble.

At 30m and Championship wages, he was worth a punt.
At Chelsea valuations, they can go do one

I’m not defending Ferguson’s actions, but he was a baller and could score. If he had not been so injury prone and spent more time on the pitch, then he would not be spoken about as someone who just ‘threw his weight about’. He was a proper footballer with more skill and technique than we’ve had in our forward line for a long, long time.

He's decent. Better than Beto also. Even though i like Beto and pray he would be better.

All that hustle and bustle for the cheap cheap price of £50million.

We couldn't pay £50m or anywhere near that for any player with the financial rules at the moment, so only way Delap happens is if we sell Ndiaye and Beto, or more likely, a late loan with an option to buy deal if Chelsea just want him moved on.
