Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Two birds one stone! Joking (sort of)
I doubt we'd sell Garner and don't think the club from a PR perspective would sell him to anyone but someone like United or Arsenal or Chelsea and the like. With Gueye going then it would leave us needing to replace a big part of the team which I have little faith in us achieving.
I don't think Garner is irreplaceable though and £80m from Forest/Newcastle where we can then pay the £25m for Hackney wouldn't be the worst thing.
At the same time, Garner continues playing the way he is then we'll get big bucks for him next season if we want to sell, so I guess it's no rush or anything and maybe better to keep.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
It would be madness to turn down anything 50 million or over for garner he is a good prem midfielder but easily replaced imo that kind of money could be used to reshape the squad

Give him the same number as Gana so everyone can keep their named shirts

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Dm, 27, would cost an absolute packet (although probably less than we’d get for James Garner, bizarrely)
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Not in response to your post specificaly but to those in general who reckon Garner is shit yet we can get millions more for him than we would have to pay for a far better player to replace him, how does that work ?sam of the south wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2026 1:06 pm Dm, 27, would cost an absolute packet (although probably less than we’d get for James Garner, bizarrely)

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
He’s definitely not shit, but he’s not elite, yet we could probably get top dollar for him as he’s had a really good season, has signed a new contract, he’s still a good age, and he’s an English premier league player.
