I’m not sure hiring the Bournemouth manager is a show of ambition.

Alonso, and possibly enrique were there.

A new, progressive manager, when they are embarking on the second year of a rebuild after initial success that has gone tits up.

Yeah they won the league last season, but it was clearly built on those Klopp and PED foundations with a new manager bounce thrown in, a bit like the first season for us under Martinez.

I think it's more the context. He's a young, up and coming exciting manager, that plays football the right way. Bournemouth are Bournemouth, but if he translates that to the shite they should have a good season watching good football, whereas we'll be stuck watching a dinosaur that's not even interested in entertaining the fans or playing with the ball.
Another thing is their ambition, they had a poor year by their standards, albeit still qualified for the champions League, but they were decisive and acted upon it, we just look like we accept the hand we're given.

Agree with the ambition comment, however I believe they’re going through a great period in the clubs history like many other clubs have….until they get the new bigger stadium built maintaining that level may become more difficult…on a personal note I hope not..

I tend to liken bmouth to our team in the 80’s…..Kendal put together a squad of non known players and slowly built a team over a period of years with a sprinkling of “known” players thrown in at times that became champions,cup winners and European cup winners….
Araola has the same done the same….as have Sunderland this season….the longevity of their success remains to be seen…

Good manager but as some have said this is far from a slam dunk. I would have been more worried if they went back for Klopp.
Iraola has had a few sticky runs without wins and it was a very slow burner at the start with Bournemouth.
