Gonna be seeing more of him now I reckon.

Impressive comeback.

Absolutely class today, maybe having him in the 10 where he's not required to do any defending has been the answer all this time.

Helped us retain possession up the pitch like we never usually can, created a goal that was wrongfully disallowed, and scored a banger... Outstanding 👌

He did surprise me today, but consistently is needed for me to change my overall view.

Glorious player, chuffed to bits for him, massive part in us staying up season before last, well in, the most creative player we have when in form.

He looked as fit as anything we’ve seen of him, post injury. Obviously didn’t play the 90 but considering how long he was out, he looked like he could actually run!

Out of contract next summer IIRC, so free to sign a pre-contract with someone else in about 8 days time.

His vision and passing ability is top drawer but it’s whether he can stay fit

We shouldn't get too attached. As soon as Doucoure is back, he plays. And I don't see many scenarios when you play Gomes in the centre 2 from the start of a game.

Nice to see there's life in him though.

Better footballer than some options we have, and you won't like which one I mean, but less useful overall.

A statue who will never change despite flashes of his obvious ability.

Prove me wrong please, of course, but lose him at the quickest convenience ideally.

Suits being further up.

Just focus where you’re going to be off the ball then use it quickly when you receive it.

He’s not a player to sit deep and dictate but he can provide real moments of quality if he’s got the ball further up the pitch.

Better than Garner in the 10 role so more than happy for him to deputise for Doucoure... I mean he might be absolute poo in the next few matches, but he deserves to start them after today's game.

Re: Andre Gomes

He can do a job roaming behind the forward.

That was his role during the one good Valencia season he’s been trading off for basically his entire career.

Use when needed but do not renew his contract under any circumstances.
