Re: World Cup 2026
Simple, threaten to boycott the next World Cup. It's being hosted mainly in Europe in 2030. Good luck to Morocco hosting it all alone, with no European nations competing. What an absolute shitshow that would be for FIFA.Gash wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2026 4:32 pm I'll post a link for you to give it some context.

Without the participation of the UEFA nations, it will be forever branded the asterisk World Cup, tainted by the absence some of the wealthiest and dominant forces of world football.
Imagine a world cup without the curent world champions, without Mbappe and France, without Germany, without a 45 year old Cristiano Ronaldo still starting for Portugal, hobbling around like an old man. Imagine a World Cup without England, for that matter. Can really see the private investors ponying up top dollar for what would very rapidly become a non-event.

Also a fat £15m bribe from FIFA for everyone to vote for it
Re: World Cup 2026
£15m doesn't even touch the sides for most of the European leagues.Cereal Killer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2026 7:35 pm Investor group to be run by Trump associated chump![]()

Re: World Cup 2026
One country, one vote
I’m sure the likes of Tonga, Malawi, Nicaragua and Seychelles won’t sniff at that
He’s bought the result already, even if all of UEFA kick off and vote against him it won’t matter
Re: World Cup 2026
Vote with your feet - UEFA countries should just swerve the world cup and the world club cup. Would they have the balls to do it though with the £s that will inevitably get generated
Re: World Cup 2026
I don't think it's really about the money tbh, I just don't think teams would boycott it because it only comes round once every 4 years.
The top players maybe have 3 world cups in them, a few have 4. None will accept missing one of those to protest something they probably don't really care about.

One of the top suggestions is they’ll move it to every two years to get more return on their investment
