I'd love a Grand Designs with a footballer. Kevin's distaste at either the outrageous design, or disappointed in the bland conservatism. The initial budget, the design, then instead of poor weather, living in a caravan onsite, a pregnant partner and a blown budget being a factor, its instead 7 changes of design in 9 months on the footballer/partners whims, shady hangers on having too much input, needing to engineer a move to get a sign on fee to pay for it but also staying local enough to still use the house....

I work in the furniture business and a few months back got chatting to a guy (presumed he was a customer) and then he dropped the bombshell that his furniture business have had meetings with the top bosses at my company about supplying some occassional pieces for us to sell

I was thinking ‘oh fair play this guys started his own business and has found his way in amongst the big dogs’

Then I asked what his business was called and he said Taskers. I was only talking to Jay Tasker!The Dan Friedkin of Furniture companies in the North West of England!

He was a lovely fella, and although he might not be able to give me the inside track on Everton’s transfer business I may well be able to give you guys all you need to know about what coffee tables, lamps and rugs are likely to be trending in Autumn/Winter 26/27 so watch this space
