I've worked in a job with extreme pressure and at some point you will have had enough and you never get your mojo back. It's better for everyone he's gone and probably a massive relief for him.
We now get a steady pair of hands to build us back up. Hopefully we get at least a couple of seasons of good squad building before people start getting frustrated with Moyes.
The place was burning down around him, last season in particular.
Even then, though, he probably had the safest job in the league because there was no-one to sack him! And he could put any failure down to the points deductions.

The irony is, it was this season - when the pressure was greatly reduced - that he blew it. He had a chance to earn himself a new contract and really build a legacy here but clearly lacked the ambition and nous to manage it.

That's how it often works, you don't break down at peak pressure, you break down afterwards when some of it has been relieved.

Mykolenko as LWB in possession is probably nott what any of us expected is it.

Allows O'Brien to become the RCB, Lindstrom to become the RWB and Ndiaye to become a LW/10 in the "half space".

It's quite mourinho. It's a lovely little tweak, and has ended up improving like 4/5 different players.

Who would have thought getting Ndiaye in more central areas and getting him on the ball higher up the pitch would result in greater attacking output?

Seems a better use than having him leg it up down the wing for 60 yards on his bill

It's the perfect use for him, he's not the sole ten so isn't expected to do a more traditional ten role, instead he's half inverted winger / half dual ten, which perfectly blends his abilities.

I really hope Moyes sticks with this hybrid system next season because we don't really need to buy out and out pacy wingers which cost a lot of money and can be very hit and miss. Just add a fast LWB and maybe a young promising inverted RW and it'd transform us.

I think I've said it before, but there's something that's changed about him for the better. He seems so much more relaxed, so much more comfortable in his own skin even.

That and the fact I think he feels genuinely priveleged to be back. Not to mention the fact he's quickly got us in to a much better position.

I didn't think I'd ever be happy about him coming back, but at the moment I feel like he's been the catalyst for us getting our Everton back. And that means so much.

Got much better backing this time around too.

If we'd got him back at the first opportunity we had there would have been no points deduction, he always had better tabs on the money than the board, better late than never though and just in time.
