It's only because it's fat Charlie Adam and he played for Liverpool that people don't like it. People have no idea what his set piece coaching ability is but have decided he doesn't have any other than being able whip in corner or smack a free kick from time to time. I go back to McPhee, he's no experience in the game at any reasonable level but he's done well and I'm sure there was calls on here in the past for us to get him in. There's no reason Adam can't be a decent coach either.

I don't even like the guy but Moyes knows more about him than any of us do and if that's who he chooses then so be it. Plus it's just speculation at the moment, Moyes said previously that he'd be looking for a set piece coach but probably not until the summer so it might not even happen yet.

I think the best person possible for the job of set piece coach who will most improve our outcomes happens to also be the fella with the same agent as Moyes who Moyes happens to know very well.

Don't know why that is so difficult to understand?

We don’t know anything really, but you can’t deny this doesn’t smack of moyes getting his mate in, or at least someone he’s familiar with.

Other clubs seem to go through a proper process with this type of stuff.

He could be good at the job so it won’t matter if he is but it doesn’t give off great vibes.
If only he had the opportunity to go through the proper process like other clubs ! He has practicaly been on his own with Bains on the training pitch last week, I think Irvine might join this week. He needs to move fast and Adam is immediately available, it’s not a negative thing that he has a relationship with someone already, I think a lot of this negativity (not you) stems from the fact that he had one season with Liverpool, who really gives a fuck about that ?

Getting similar vibes here - our head of Academy goalkeeping being promoted to first team goalkeeper coach. I can't quite get my head around the fit and overlap in skillsets... until you read "Lucas enjoyed a long career as a keeper, during which he played under Moyes at Preston North End."

It says that the appointment will be re assessed in the summer, as I suspect the Adam appointment might be, again, Dyche entire backroom staff left with him, Moyes needs bodies like yesterday, those are the only vibes I get.

Yeah but disappointed with Moyes surrounding himself with people he trusts as he quickly tries to build some semblance of a team in double quick time... Disgusting 🙄

Getting increasingly hard to have an opinion on here.

It’s not that hard to see why people who have a few doubts over this appointment and the process behind it.

Doesn’t strike me as us doing things properly. Just like we let the l manager last summer get rid of the set piece analyst and the goalkeeping coach.

These thing should be questioned .

That's a very reasonable point, in fairness.
