Is that what it's about? If they'll have to pay the 777 debt in full or get a discount?? Any idea what the difference is?

Under no circumstances does anybody put the poor woman in a headlock please!
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
Current agreement is £66m "up front" and the rest as "more manoeuvrable" debt (no repayment plan but an option for the debt to be converted to shares in the future).777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:12 am Is that what it's about? It's whether Leadenhall are happy with that.
Recent court case was whether the £200m we owe was "tied up" in the receivership/whether a-cap had the authority to divest it.
Turns out they didn't so we now have to wait to see if Leadenhall agree to the terms.
My gut feeling: why would the include it in an injunction if they were happy with what a-cap agreed?

Few rumors knocking about that TFG want to add Bell and Downing to the new board.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
Might be truth in it then.
Don't know a lot about downing but Bell seems like a pretty good business man. The more business savvy people the better.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
The source of that rumour is Alan Nixon, if that helps.

That could be a great move tbf. Both local. Both care deeply about the club and both are very successful businessmen in their own right. We are in desperate need of a couple of "astute businessmen" to finally steer the club towards running as a business. If those astute businessmen also jist happen to be a couple of locals with the club’s best interests at their very heart, even better!
Shrewd move on Friedkin's part too. These guys were hoping to buy the club at one point. Sometimes keeping your friends close and your rivals even closer is smart business.

That would be great if it works that way.74Blue wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 9:47 pm That could be a great move tbf. Both local. The other scenario is because they love the club so much they get too involved and try to exert influence on the playing side. Not saying they would, just highlighting that this ‘great move’ is based on best case scenario. (Which is why you said “could be”)
I like the idea as you’ve set it out, but the last decade has made me fearful that we are more likely to experience the worst case scenario.
Have I said ‘scenario’ enough yet?

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I put no store by local and passionate.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
Didn’t we once have a local and passionate Chairman of the Board ?
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
How come they didn't buy the club again? Chancers aren't they?
