They may be able sue us for breach of contract if we did. Or there may be clauses in the land lease describing what would happen should we change that element.
But they are not a legal entity in terms of the ownership of the stadium.
I mean the land we have leased for 100 years if off them so i think they would have some say in what we do.

Stop trying to convince yourself we are about to implode because we aren't.

I get that Mouse. But for me Moshiri/kenwright have destroyed the club

And I cant get excited for new players or new managers or new stadium. It just feels pointless to me.

The breakdown in the sale was the final straw I think, as there was a bit of hope.

I'll stop commenting negative stuff in this thread though. Don't want to bring people down.

Probably give the stadium to Tranmere and they'll spend the next half a century winning titles galore

I've nothing but optimism about the stadium.

Just pointing out an obvious piece of bullshit people seem to have fallen for.

Just like how the costs were "locked in" for the build
Just like how it's not your money so stop stressing
Just like paying a premium for players with no plans

There seems to be a never ending queue of people passing on obvious bollocks defending the club.

Wont own it ever, prob wont ever even play in there.
The stadium is ours, but the land that it is built on is leased. As part of that lease, there is some sort of clause that dictates the ownership of the real estate on the land and it's use, so I don't think selling the stadium is an option. We could borrow against it, but I don't think we could actually sell it. Taking into account the existing stadium debt and the fact that the land is leasehold with conditions attached, I'm not sure that the amounts we could borrow against it would be all that great anyway.

It wasn't a personal response to anyone, I hope it didn't come over that way!

I fully approciate the reason for negativity, I'm genuinely mentally exhausted by what the club has put me (us) through over the past few years. The efforts we've put in as a fan-base have been incredible yet we have constantly been let down and even worse, at times shot down by those wanting us to trust their custodianship. The sale falling was devastating.

I just think there are enough concrete reasons to be negative about the club without us working through every possible scenario of what may go wrong with the stadium. I love seeing the stadium, visiting it with my dad is one of my fondest memories and it gives me hope for the future. It does disturb me though that, if we get through the current shite, it will give a long-term rosy glow to the Kenwright/Moshiri legacy. I guess that will be a price we have to pay

Read that they anticipate a sponsorship and would need to be changed anyway.

Interesting. Didn't know we were allowed to do this with the "heritage" features.

I hope the away dressing room is a cold dank pit with mouldy walls, minimal lighting, cold showers in the basement somewhere
