Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Moyes said in his presser today that he has final say on transfers which in this day and age is wrong and unprofessional
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I don't want it to be, but I also worry about his game time if we sign an RB. He looks a really good player, and it's tough to see him getting games in CM ahead of Hackney and Armstrong, and neither of them are guaranteed starters.
Him and Garner sharing RB would sort of be ok from a squad development point of view, and with Norgaard we'd still have that stable DM at the base of midfield.
It'd be an absolute disgrace not signing an RB, but I also do want Rohl to play regularly and develop what looks like a really strong skillset.

Saar, Grealish, a RB and a LB and I reckon Brennan is going to be used as a second striker if Beto goes

Yeah, but I just hope we do tread water rather than slip undercassius wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2026 2:58 pm If Moyes is vetoing all the RBs given to him by the recruitment team, then a strong leadership team would either fire him or buy the RB they think is the best option for the club.
And if Moyes doesn't play him, in favour of a midfielder or CB, fire him then. Don't let a manager with 12-months left on his contract dictate the health of the squad.
We have to have long term approach, the age profile of most of our signings suggests there is one, and everyone knows the manager to execute on this isn't Moyes. We're treading water until we move on from him.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Wasn't sure on Munoz tbh anyway, he was torn apart by George last weekend and he's only played a handful of prem games. He's also 30 so age isn't exactly on his side. That said it's nuts we haven't got a right back, I don't know what's going on but let's hope we get one in before the deadline.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Would Johnson suit a Moyes system as a striker?
Not sure sure tbh, can't imagine he's even remotely comfortable or competent trying to head direct balls from deep whilst competing with big tall strong defenders.
George might be more likely as he's taller, stronger and has played there previously in his career.
Christian Nørgaard
Well I think he played his best football like that but who knows?AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2026 4:16 pm Would Johnson suit a Moyes system as a striker?

If Ndiaye goes I want a top young forward. If Grealish doesn’t join then I want TWO.
On what planet should we accept the same forward line as last year but swap Ndiaye and McNeil for Johnson?

Amazing this club.
People making the decisions change but the output is always the same.
