Sometimes with players, there are two prices, what the player is worth to their current club and what a prospective buyer is willing to pay. At present, I don't see any prospective buyer being willing to pay anywhere near Ndiaye's value to the team. Yes, he has a few shortcomings, his lack of goals being the really big one, but overall, he's worth his weight in gold to Everton. Looking at some of the prices being bandied about for what are pretty average players, what is £75m getting you in today's market? It's definitely not getting you another Ndiaye.
At this stage of the window too, any replacement coming in needs to be absolutely oven ready to walk straight into the squad and be having an immediate impact. For that sort of proven player, you will need big, big money.
