I think the whole recruitment structure is a mess and it will be shown up when we start the season with mykolenko and Jake as our full backs.

If garner isn’t fit, we sell Tim and Norgaard isn’t up to speed then we are woefully short in the middle of the park as well.

It's all just speculation though isn't it. Criticisms are somewhat valid, but on the whole in the minority.

Before Moyes came in it was squeaky bum time. There'll be a time soon when we're ready for a new manager. Not quite yet for me.

Personally I think missing out on Europe was a blessing in disguise. Rebound relationships, when the same problems still exist, don't often work.

Annoying that the first couple of games we won't be at our strongest, but i think it'll be like that for most clubs that cant spend what they want, especially in a world cup year.

We might have to rely on Armstrong, Hackney and KDH, like against Newcastle? With Merlin, Alacaraz, and at a push, Foster on the bench?

Not sure we're in that much strife in the middle really are we? The window is still open for Full backs for another 2.5 weeks. If it saves us 20m waiting, or gets us the target were after, then why not.

Yeah I’ve been saying he should get more minutes. I think he’s a good footballer but he’s vastly inexperienced. Played a dozen games or so before he came to us and that’s his whole career. Comes on in cameos and often looks promising. Imagine if he’d had the time to develop in his years with us - either out on loan or first team minutes? Imagine confident we’d have a serviceable right back. Good? Bang average? Who knows? But we’ve fucked any chance this lad had of having a good career imo.

And my last comment was that we’d have to see him play a lot more before we could call him average.

Looks very lightweight to me with no defensive midfielder and a load of players the manager doesn’t seem to trust in midfield and the idea that we’re sitting tight in the market waiting for value and our target is nothing but copium.

Patterson should have been out on a season's loan years ago. 35 games a season. See whether he is a decent right back or not.

As it is we have wasted the money spent on him. Atrocious signing and mis-management.

Agree with the first bit to some extent, but not the second.

Everything moves and for differing prices right at the end (they should shut it next week rather than part way through the season). The bigger players see that the bigger clubs maybe don't want them, so we're that next level. Its a stupid system but it is just that.
