Yeah, he was great in that game.
Enjoyed a few goals he scored too, notably the 2nd goal against forest to make it 2-0 and it felt like the world was lifting of our shoulders.
The first in the 3-0 win over the barcodes was enjoyable too.

It wasn’t just the goals in those games, it was an unreal work rate for 90 minutes that was a big part in getting us out.

There was only really Burnley out of the home games where he looked good last season I thought. He had a short spell of decent ish form after the Failed January transfer didn’t he, which quickly evaporated
I would have been happy enough to have seen him leave for free at the end of his contract so a free player in return should be good business
However I’ve got a feeling (partly based on every Palace fan saying he is absolute pony) that it’s not gonna work out for Brennan Johnson. Hoping that he proves them all wrong (and me in that for being a doubter)
I can't remember the game, think it was last season when McNeil ran a good 30 yards in the wrong direction just to keep the ball on his left foot rather than use his right. I don't think I've ever known a player more reluctant to use his weaker (or in his case, useless) foot.

I think that was Tottenham the season before last - chased by Brennan Johnson.
I remember the Mansfield game last season, never heard a whole stand universally laugh at one of our own.
Can you remember the days when you’d moan about his one footedness and people would say things like ‘erm you know who else only had one foot? Little guy called Diego Armando Maradona??’ Or ‘erm you mean…like MESSI’
Some of our fans ability to be well and truly conned by a player who scores a goal every 8-9 games without a shot on target in between has to be seen to be believed.
All said and done, did a good job for us at a difficult time. Has a beautiful left peg and when he could run he was a really willing long distance chugger who helped us see out a number of very important points.

Was only good when asked to stay on the left, do his doggies and whip the ball in at the earliest opportunity.
I thought his technical ability would be good enough to carry him through to become more of a ten or inverted winger, but the rest of his game is just too bad.
Johnson isn’t great and we’ll soon be wanting to unload him, but he’s levels above what McNeil is.
I think if he didn’t come up through Burnley with a manager like Dyche he would have never made it to the premier league.
It's funny watching the Palace fans watching McNeil highlights where one thing he does really well that I'd not appreciated before is taking a touch then shooting really quickly through a defender's legs, which is exactly what people always say about Solksjaer.
Has he been playing out of position his whole career??
Best of luck to him. Scored some very important goals in the dire days and when Iwobi was sold he stepped up. His decline in recent seasons has been marked and he hasn't really recovered from the injury. Maybe a fresh start will give him a new lease.

No need to be so snide and bitter, he’s talking to those fans that stood by him as a human being not “fans” like you and I think it was well publicised the way his partner stood by him.
