Summer Transfer Window 2026
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
That shitty Murphy link keeps popping up like the spectre of something we’d already have done under Moshiri.
Don’t think there’s anyway it can be cut price enough for me to not despise it as a piece of business.

Depends where he sees them both playing.
That's our new right back, and Johnson is our new striker to go along with our new CB, Norgaard.

“As David Moyes eyes a cut price deal”
Hearing stuff like this is why I can’t be arsed with us at the moment.
Stuck in 2008 la

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I don't like persistent rumours like these, as with Everton you do worry with our penchant for "PL proven". With there still being a decent chance that Ndiaye goes, and we don't know about Grealish yet we could yet be in the market for another winger after all.
If we replaced our Grealish and Ndiaye combo with Johnson and Murphy...lol that'd be shockingly sad stuff.
There is no version of this deal I'd want us to take for this profile of player. Give the younger players more time. Play Aznou as a winger or Rohl if need be but this sort of idea is not the way forward.
That said, it's Football Insider so let's hope it's a load of crap. I won't get too worked up about it unless we see more serious links.

It's 2008 reporting as well though, managers generally haven't for years, if ever had a say on transfer fees and wages. It's like the media have this image of the manager, sitting with the player and agent negotiating the whole deal. It's best to just ignore the headline.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I'm just sick to fucking death of the incompetence, ineptitude and downright lack of urgency in getting the players we need in the positions we need them.
We are sleepwalking into a whole lot of trouble this season with this squad, and nobody at the club can see what's coming

Not sure about these shouts of relegation and doom, especially as we haven't kicked a ball in anger yet. If we start shit, Moyes gets sacked, so everyone's happy, yes? Then we can moan about who's next and some will shout, should have stuck with Moyes.... Everton aren't we!!

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Surely not... but Alan Nixon was miles ahead in calling the swap deal first...
Edit: won't embed:
Everton will move for Munoz … if Palace sell

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Always thought he looked good whenever I've seen him... 30 though, so would probably only be worth it if we could get a mad deal on him
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Crystal Palace have received tentative enquiries from Everton about the future of Daniel Munoz.
Palace remain cautious with their current financial position relating to the updated squad cost ratio rules.
They are evaluating several members of their squad on higher wages, including Munoz.
Palace are keen to keep the right-back, but could be forced into a sale if they are unable to shift other members of the squad off the wage bill.
Everton remain interested in several right-backs, including Alastair Johnston and Marcus Tavernier.
Progress has stalled on Johnston with Celtic demanding a fee over £20m.

Absolutely nothing in the Jacob Murphy rumour. Could've signed him at any point if we wanted to. Newcastle don't want him and he's not expensive.
With B. Johnson we'll already have 4 wide players, and if we get Grealish we'll have 5.
