Didn’t watch because I’ve already come to terms with what’s coming this season.

The people in charge seem to think we can tread water over two years, prioritising “stability” without risk.

They don’t realise that the premier league can eat you alive if your squad isn’t good enough and ours is nowhere near good enough.

No excuses for how they’ve approached the last two summers. Moyes will end up paying the price, suddenly that stability is out the window then where do you turn?

This is our back four just 15 minutes into the match.
Stuttgart didnt do much to destroy our structure. The move before this picture was their GK to their DC - their DC to DR - their DR to the MC.
Of some reason Mykolenko is going gung ho towards their RW (that has moved into an MC role) with his back towards our goal - resulting in him passing it to their other MC who easily can pass the ball into the gigantic space that Mykolenko left open for their right back.

How on earth did we manage to extend his contract? Our need for a left back is as huge as the need of a right back.

Said it during the match that I thought all that space came from Tim playing fetch but not actually getting hold of the ball. Pulled others out of position, and that image shows exactly that.

As much as I've been in the Tim camp for a while now, I have to admit the midfield ends up horrifically wide open when he plays. We have Armstrong, Hackney and Rohl who are all better, so unfortunately I agree we might as well cash in on him, as much as it pains me to see him leave.

I dont even think its not realising the risk of it that bothers me. What a way to treat paying fsns. Just take their money for a couple of years without any ambition but to tread water

Glad to hear Dibling is playing well, sad that he got Keane on earliest chance he got and JOB shunted to rb, and that Mykolenko has had 2 starts in a row now.

Thinking of you mate. When they go they take a piece of you, but I heard something recently that was difficult to hear, but also somehow consoling at the same time: your pet is just a chapter in your story but you are their whole book.

It's harsh on Tim to blame him for this. He anticipates the pass before it goes there but you could argue he is a meter or two out of position - the main problem is that Mykolenko looses his head.

Why is he pressing a player in the center and midle of the pitch faced towards his own goal - there is absolutely NO threat. If he had just fallen off - like Branthwaite - Stuttgart wouldn't been through on goal. Look for yourself - their move starts at 0:33 seconds in this clip

Even more worried about our defence after watching this. Hoping Norgaard is able to provide some sort of shield.

However three corners for Stuttgart in those highlights, one goal, completely unmarked players on each one. Third goal was a completely unmarked player waltzing into the box. And then there's Mykolenko.
