The defence is the most sorry bunch of mopes I’ve seen since I started watching the blues under Walter Smith. We’ve always had at least one good player in there. I’m really worried about JB and getting a full season out of him, and due to playing right back so much I feel JoB is still untested in the middle for any extended period.

Cant get my head around having to watch the chuckle brothers sat on Pickfords knee and Mykolenko aimlessly wondering around trying to look busy.

Should Moyes be moved on early enough, I do see a decent season from Dibling and Barry to netted double figures by the end of Feb. We’ve got issues but we’ve also got some alright players.

15th in the league for XG conceded last season.

Just gotta pray branthwaite can stay fit. Even then I’m not sure he’s enough to cover for the rest around him.

Have you seen the consultation on their new crest design? Funniest thing ever - basically "What do you want the seahorses to look like??"

A club in our position is always going to do deals late so I’m keeping the fume powder dry until the close of the window. I have faith we’ll get a RB and an attacker maybe 2.

Agree with the last bit but based on last season's body of work, Dibling and Barry would be 2 of the least representative of the point.

Rumours that AWB is back on, and by all accounts he missed WH media day and team photo sessions too

Yeah he might not be amazing, but he's proven he's a competent Premier League right back. That in itself would be transformative for us.

Apparently he was great in his first season at West Ham too, but went missing last season and apparently stunk the place out with a bad attitude. Bit of a red flag, but also hard to blame anyone downing tools when a club is sinking like a stone.

I agree with you Andy but just pointing out that there might be times this season where we’re sinking like a stone…

Nearly £50m spent on two players who were already here which is definitely hampering us in the market.

This is why we need to try and avoid loaning players as much as we can.

It’s makes you stand still for the next season and we are doing that right now.

Surely the idea is that you get the progression a year early
