“Everton are proud to announce the free signing of one Mr S Coleman to resolve their right back position”
Re: Alistair Johnston
On the one hand, I’m happy with us walking away. Their asking price is stupid given his background and profile.
On the other hand, I kind of don’t want to know what the next name on the list is if he was ahead of them.
If we’ve passed on Wan-Bissaka and all these other options have fallen through, I’d like to see us make some kind of push for Maitland-Niles.

Re: Alistair Johnston
I suppose at least with Norgaard and Hackney coming in it does allow us to play Garner RB without compromising the midfield, should we not sign anyone to play there.
I just can't imagine we don't buy someone though, even if it's just to pacify the fans.

Re: Alistair Johnston
Four windows they’ve had to sort this.
Only going one way with how this recruitment team operates.

Re: Alistair Johnston
It’s not like us to walk away when the price is ridiculous. Maybe we learned something from Dibbling after all.

It is obvious we don't really want a right back at all, it is the only explanation.

I think your giving him far too much credit - as if he has ever thought about 'attack'sam of the south wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2026 4:17 pm Moyes’ favourite mode of attack is hit JOB with a long diag tbf
