Scenes if Fulham rug pull us on another RB before the start of the season.

Honestly thought he was good in a hard working and industrious way in the WC.

But please god let him just be the backup for a real quality project that’s taking a while to get over the line!

There's literally 0 chance that's the case - if we sign him he's our starting RB with JOB/Rohl/Garner being the back ups

I understand all the concerns with regards to age, leagues played in etc but if I'm looking for a silver lining its the fact that he's an actual attacking RB!

I really thought Moyes would be pushing for a Wan Bissaka type who does the defensive part but is shit going forward - this lad has 41 goal involvements in 215 games.

We're in desperate need of some attacking width on the right and something to balance out how defensive our LB is.

Is this deal done as much as Norton-Cuffy was done?

I'm about 6 or 7/10 on this, which is probably what we'll get from him mostly (by the sounds of it, can't say I've seen much of him).

I'm sure there are better, more fashionable hipster choices but unless he's absolute pish, having an actual 'specialist' RB would make a huge difference to the balance of the team.

And, like with Norgaard, if we can limit the outlay, it might mean we have enough left over to strengthen elsewhere (hopefully a bit of pace out wide).

An actual RB and an actual 6 and we have some good young players coming through. Give us a modest attacking LB like Bueno and swap one of Beto or Barry for a striker who can control a football and hold it up and we might be ok ish.

Yeah, I don’t doubt it!

Just stupidly optimistic today. I’ll be back to sane and miserable tomorrow
