This guy is quality. Forget about not playing games in an Arsenal midfield that has Rice, Odegaard, Zubimendi and Eze. Anyone would struggle to get into that midfield, especially when Rice was never rested.
I get the meh/negative reaction but we had a need for another DM even before Garner had surgery.
I would’ve liked a longer term prospect with some big upside as well but I don’t think there’s a bit wrong with spending a small fee on a player who will likely accept more of a rotational role and has done the job well at this level before.
It's fine. Small outlay and we need another 6 who can take the ball off the defence and who has positional discipline without the ball (unlike Sir Timothy of Iroegbunam).

I keep forgetting about Iroegbunam.
Was hoping Hull or Ipswich would’ve given us £15-20m for him by now.
He’s neat and tidy mate. When we had a rocky Patch in April he was one of the fellas who spoke up and said we need to be calm enjoy the challenge and we have t come this far to throw it away now . He was seen as big influence around the camp never complained true professional
1. I’m okay with it, like him as a player and can defend space. Decent player for a low fee, will get a few years of ‘did alright’ out of him.
2. Clubs treading water.

You wouldn't want him starting a lot of games, but we haven't got a single midfielder who you can bring on to shore up a game (assuming Garner's starting).
Will be quite useful to the manager. Much better than bringing the likes of Jordan Henderson in say.
