I thought Arsenal were after him. Villa rebuilding again, 117 mil not a bad price though.

50 million feels like the new 15/20m, some of the prices seem insane for the quality of player
It's like everyone's losing their mind.
Like you said bang average players going for 40-50 million
City paying 116 million for anderson has set the tone.
Completely and utterly ludicrous

I actually prefer that we’re shopping in the £30m and under range.

The top of the market is absolutely bonkers.

Yeah it feels like the Sly6 have realised it's all just monopoly money for them now and they may as well spend it. And they're right.

Horrid isn't it. Us having to watch two or three million yet united, Chelsea, Liverpool spending 100 million plus on players all over.

What's the fucking point

£117m for Rogers puts transfers on a whole new perspective. We are fucked.

So Chelsea lost £350m over a couple of years, but managed to argue it down to £250m somehow, and have now splashed £117m on Rodgers...

Sure they made some back on the midfielder they sold to Man U, and the outgoings are split over many years Vs income counted all at once, but fuck me it's insane what some clubs get away with!

I find it strange that Rogers wants to go. I think I'd rather stay at Villa, providing they matched the wages, or wait for a team that aren't all over the shop

Rogers had a great first half of last season but tailed off a fair bit. For 23, his body of work is not particularly deep so there is absolutely no way they can turn down £117m. He'd have to have a Ballon d'Or winning season to be worth much more next summer and even a pretty good season would probably see his value fall.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

English players are massively overrated. Seems like we have about 10 100m players and none of them are the very best. Half of them arent even particularly special

Elliot Anderson is the catalyst for this. He's essentially a really really good water carrier, and he's gone for 115m, it's crazy.
He's really good at breaking up the game, but his ability to influence a game in an attacking sense is non existent. When a players whose job it is to break up the game and then merely pass the ball to better players goes for 116m the games gone

On the move again.

He will probably play for Everton by the time he’s 32 and had 10 other clubs
