Absolutely should be buying young players with potential. Our problem is we are shit at it. Barry is a great example of it hes neither young nor has great potential. Youve got to be incredibly shit at it to sign a young player who isnt young

Seen as it looks like this rumour is gathering steam. What do you think we will do? Sell Beto? Sell Barry?

If we let Barry go Beto gets a new deal probably, is that wise?

I mean 23 is young. Controversially possibly as well here but I do still think he’s got potential

Barry isn't shit, he's scored some pretty good goals, and a combination of left and right foot.

I just think he's got a bit of an attitude and needs to mature. He's 23 but seems more like an 18-19 year old in personality.

Rewind to the Man U game and he won a ridiculous number of headers, but so many other games he just didn't even try and compete for the ball, to the point he didn't even run over to where it was heading to then try and battle with the defender.

If we sell him he'll probably go to a less physical league where these things aren't as much of an issue and bag a decent number of goals.

I think hes god awful. Levels below beto. That utd game is his 1 really good game and it was for a load of defensive headers. Hes scored some good goals but I dont think weve seen a single game where hes got the better of the centre halves. He plays like his 18 and doesnt really know the position.

He'll play even less next season if at all

I think we sell Barry for a modest loss to Germany, Spain, or Italy and he scores 20 goals a season there.

That might be the right level for him. He doesn’t seem to consistently relish the physical grind playing CF in the PL and that’s okay. He proved that he has the chops to do it (at times) but the application wasn’t there often enough.

I think the writing was on the wall when he came off the bench against Liverpool and just wasn’t in the game at all. Hard to defend killing our threat in a game that means so much when you were brought on to liven things up.

Barry couldn't worry sheep mate. At least with Beto you know you'll get effort and goals if you play him right

“Everton sold Chermiti to Rangers last summer for an initial £8m and included a ‘significant sell-on’ clause in the deal, according to The Athletic”
