He's got 4 players playing though.

Hackney, KDH, Garner and a 6, so someone won't be in the starting lineup out of those 4.

If I was going to predict a Moyes midfield that I grew up with….

Garner - RM
KDH - LM
Hackney - CM
New guy - CM

Do you want me to tell you who will be starting games?

Or who should be....

Struggling to get excited with this one. Not particularly young at 24, and I don't think he's got any Premier League experience. He's got decent stats in the championship, but the intensity and quality is significantly higher. Can't see him being more than a squad player, which is good as depth is needed, but id like to see some developments for guaranteed starters that can take us forward, given the gaps and issues we've got.
Think we might reflect that the money would've been better spent elsewhere.

Nah, it's a good signing.

We should always be looking to sign the best players from the Championship, and Hackney is clearly that. If you look at the career trajectories of Eze, Olise and Wharton it's a sound approach and a good investment.

Without my Garner bias here, he also had cracking numbers in the championship and went onto play for England. Hackneys numbers are better so he’s probs a good investment at this price.

If Everton ever got bought my some billionaire playboy and signed Mbappe we’d somehow still be starting O’Brien at centre back.

Joking aside, it’s hard to get excited by any signing until we’ve signed an actual right back

Fair enough, and I don't disagree in principle, and if he were 19 like Olise and Wharton were when they stepped up or Eze at 22, I'd be a little more optimistic.
For me, it's a big difference being one of the best players in a lesser league at 19 Vs 24 - with no top flight experience, albeit only just turned 24.
I think there is really good value, and players, in that league so hopefully he falls into that category.

This is the type of signing that we need to be making and it’s good business.

Young lad, energetic, skillful and has made a mark in the Championship. It’s perfect for us and I want us to be the club that these young promising players choose as the next step.

Thats a bit like the "if trump cured cancer people would moan nonsense" we consistently signed shite. People moan because they've consistently given us something to moan about and now theres little confidence in them. Its fair enough

I was saying Hackney and KDH competing for the advanced CM role ~10 role imo.

Garner I think will play every single possible game, sometimes in other positions.

And I think he wants a more dominant, positive, positionally aware 6.

It’s 4/5 players into 38 games plus cups, not into 3 positions.
