Which is about what we want to get Hackney forStirlingBlue wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 11:08 am Going to Argentina and only 12 months on his contract, we'll be lucky to get £7m+
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Shame but no real surprise.
Sell and put that money towards Hackney is probably pretty smart business.
I've always had a soft spot for Alcaraz but he doesn't have a footballing brain, and his randomness was never going to work with someone like Moyes as a manager.
Hope he goes on to have a decent career somewhere.
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Deffo a player there, but when someone wants to play one footed dynamo Dwight on the opposite side to where his good foot would come in handy then what's the point in sticking around?

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
I like him but even beyond that its a bit worrying that we are signing players and then moving them on next season. More so when we got a good look at him on loan too.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Still can't understand why you'd pay more than 10mill for a player and only give them a two year contract.
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Bit of a headless chicken. Not good enough. Just move on.
Leave the concern about cost, value, contract length and all that rubbish to the club.
Just get players in that can move the needle forward.

They cant because they've little clue on judging talent or even identifying our problems. We can keep moving on but we replace not good enough with more expensive not good enough

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
Alcaraz could do a job in a functional team and would probably develop nicely. Possibly enough to be a regular first team player for us but certainly enough to make some money on him.
Just leaving money on the table with him I reckon.

Re: Carlos Alcaraz
He's never stayed anywhere for a significant length of time. Theres a reason for that
Re: Carlos Alcaraz
I think the argument against this though is that if we put that money towards Hackney we'll likely see a much bigger return on investment.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2026 9:09 am Alcaraz could do a job in a functional team and would probably develop nicely. Never hidden my love a Alcaraz, but I'd wager in 2-3 years time Hackney would be worth tens of millions more than Charlie.
