Burnley Legal Case
Re: Burnley Legal Case
Good write up of our most likely argument in an appeal, that the breach could not have occurred before the end of the financial year on 30th June.

I reckon we should sue the PGMOL for every fucking apology that they have issued to is after horrendous decisions against us. Take it to the court for arbitration and sue the fuckers for millions. The points that those decisions cost is just this season denied us European Football and a couple of league positions, so we have been robbed massively financially by this.
Sue Richard Masters for just generally being a corrupt fucking bellend.
Sue the Premier League for being incompetent fucking shithouses.

Sack Lynn for being unloyal, disloyal. And for joining in fun in a way that excludes her employer. And sack her for being an absolute idiot and inefficient...

Re: Burnley Legal Case
We should now try suing Pierluigi Collina and UEFA for the prize money that we would have missed out on for not participating in the Champions League group stages.

I don't know how the premier league deem playing with demari gray, salamon rondon and andros Townsend is more of a sporting advantage than making 50 million quid in illegal payments to sign the likes of Eden hazard to get league & champions league titles

Re: Burnley Legal Case
Who is representing us n these cases? Lionel Hutz?
Were repeatedly having our pants pulled down. No one else is getting shafted like us. Cunts.
Be interesting to see if the PL defer our PL prize money in lieu of what we now owe.

Surely we could argue having Moshiri, Benitez and Lampard at Everton constituted having a sporting disadvantage?Deano Blue Boy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2026 5:35 am I don't know how the premier league deem playing with demari gray, salamon rondon and andros Townsend is more of a sporting advantage than making 50 million quid in illegal payments to sign the likes of Eden hazard to get league & champions league titles

Re: Burnley Legal Case
How many of those 200 charges are the PL working through now while City prepare to lob in a 106 million bid for Anderson. Corrupt. What makes the PL judge, jury and executioner too. Should this not be heard in a proper court of law by people who at least should understand what justice looks like.
Re: Burnley Legal Case
A day on and I'm still really confused by this.
I've tried to read up on it a bit, and it seems we're being sued because the punishment wasn't applied the previous season.
So Forest won't be sued because their punishment was applied in the correct time frame.
But by all accounts we didn't do anything to delay the Premier League applying the punishment in the correct season, they just took too long to go through everything and apply the points deduction.
So I'm still absolutely baffled how we could be sued?
And to top it all off the Premier League are the ones who both failed to apply to punishment in the correct timeframe, and the judge and jury residing over us being sued for them not doing so.
It is genuinely mind bending. Am I just missing an important piece of the puzzle here that would make it at least vaguely understandable?

You’re not alone, I don’t get it either and can’t find any justification for us having to compensate Burnley for the PL’s incompetenceAjaxAndy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2026 10:19 am A day on and I'm still really confused by this.
