It should also mean that when we win the ball back, we're not always doing it in our defensive third and then relying on Ndiaye to run the length of the pitch and score.Sir Stealth wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2026 3:49 pm Same!
Would make a huge difference in how we can get at teams with 2 fast centre backs and 2 full backs that are comfortable on the ball. Means we won’t have to have massive gaps between the different areas of the team and would give us a chance to finally have a fighting chance of winning the possession battle and actually dictating games ourselves

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Also 20 year old Moroccan two footed right winger... Maybe Ndaiye's replacement if he goes?
Age profile of some of these links is promising as we don't seem to be targeting only the older premier league experienced players, but younger talents already adjusted to English football.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
That’s the age range we’ve largely been targeting, to be fair.
Grealish and KDH the only two who don’t fit the mold. One of those is a galactic talent, the other a top pro good enough for a side with Europa ambitions but not for a hopeful CL contender.
I think we’ve gotten the balance right. You want to have a backbone of experienced professionals to teach the younger players how to act on and off the pitch. It’s just a shame we saw so little of Dibling, Aznou, Röhl, and even George this season.
The general philosophy is sound though. We’re not nailing every decision, I don’t have total faith in Moyes to coach them, but I like the way we’re attempting to build the squad.
Nothing like a Moshiri summer where we’d be linked with a whole bunch of overpriced, overrated players with terrible age profiles and it wasn’t just paper talk.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Yeah just really mentioned it because people largely felt we'd only be targeting the Souceks of this world, but thankfully seems we are still targeting a younger profile... or at least so far anyway.kramer wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2026 5:32 pm That’s the age range we’ve largely been targeting, to be fair.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Ex is one of the best ITKs out there, so time to take this seriously
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Linked with 27 year old Moroccan midfielder Imran Louza of Watford, who had 16 goal involvements last season in the championship.
Not sure we need to sign another Louza given we already have a squad made up of them...
...sorry couldn't resist.

Hopefully the conversations are “David, we know you won a European trophy with this lot, please take them off our hands as we can’t afford them in the Championship, pleaaaasse!? Hello? David? Are you still there?”
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Could do worse than getting Alvarez on the cheap as a six.
Could probably do a lot better as well like.

Diouf
Fernandes
AWB
Summerville.
They are the only ones I'd he interested in.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Saw a lot of West Ham fans saying Mavropanos had finished the season strongly - think he won their player of the season - but he's always looked a bit headless when I've seen him.
