We’ll just have to settle for being half as intimidating then

They'll get him to replace Connor Gallagher and we'll end up signing him for more

Would absolutely love this. Exactly the type of player we need.

I'm not confident in our ability to get this over the line though. Will cross everything.

Hearing this news this early in a world cup window just screams "agent trying to force clubs to show their hand and start a bidding war" to me.

Don't know anything about him, never seen him play. Sounds like the Dibling of this summer, with lots talking about him as the next big thing and wondering where he will end up.

I'd imagine Gana, Alcaraz and one other may go then to accommodate him.

Delighted if we pull this one off.

Some of Moyes best buys previous where from the Championship.

Really hope it comes off.

Do you remember that one season we did our business early and had a great season? I think 2006 - Lescott, Johnson but could be wrong.

We were linked heavily last summer, not a new kid on the block.

Would be a great signing. But definitely not getting excited yet as I'm sure there will be a queue of suitors.

He isn’t the same profile as dibling has 4/5 seasons of championship football under his belt couple of years England u21 very progressive player carries the ball well can pass and shoot as well but very athletic and will bring a good footballing ability to our midfield

Honestly never watched him, had a preconceived idea in my head of what he’d be like so did a bit of reading and watching clips and yeah…looks a bit lightweight and a bit lazy, can play a bit for sure but it’s a step up.

Maybe him + some workhorses around him in a three allows him to dictate the game but he isn’t what I’d thought he was, which is like a pass merchant.

This would be really nice, if we could pull it off.

This gives a nice picture of what kind of player he is -

Main takeaways - highly press-resistant (much needed for us!), very good at progressing the ball from deep, needs to improve without the ball.
