Summer Transfer Window 2026

Post

Lets have the dreaded transfer window thread.

As usual it's for general discussion on all things Everton transfers but if there is a credible link/rumour to a player or if you just fancy a separate thread then start one rather than dump it in here, if it doesn't come off the thread will harmlessly drift down on to page 2. Rather that than having several different discussions going on at once, there's nothing worse than trying to catch up with what's been happening and having trawl through 10 pages off guff to get to anything of substance.

Go! :D

I like the idea of Jonathan Burkardt striker with Frankfurt, strong, good pace, 13/22 for them this season.

€20m release clause as well.

The release clause doesnt help us at all. Like delap loads of clubs who arent that sold on him will take him anyway because its risk free.

I wasn’t overly impressed with Sunderland any of the times we played them but if there’s a lesson to be learned from those matches, it’s that we need our own version of Xhaka.

Having someone who can dictate tempo with their passing and spray the ball from side to side accurately gives you greater control and an increase in the directness of your attacking threat if the opposition gets sucked to one side. Think about how much better Moyes sides were with Arteta or Gibson in the middle.

Going to be really disappointed if we go for another type who defends well and keeps the passing accurate and simple even if they’re better than the options we already have. We have a real issue with speed of play in possession and an extremely limited ability to break down a set defense. Poor play from our fullbacks has a lot to do with it but so does the lack of passing quality in midfield.

As I have said before Hackney at boro is quality let Armstrong go out on loan bring this guy in I would also look at Troy parrot as a replacement for Beto as he offers something different can play as a deeper striker and is a great finisher

Is he a significant upgrade on Armstrong to be spending 25m?

Luka Modric, one season.

Get a load of young legs running around getting the ball for him and then let him light a pipe and spray it around the park....only for it to come back again as we recycle it back to Pickford and then hoof it upfield.

Nice thought though.

I know it's rather dull but AWB wouldn't be too bad.

Kinda boring and unimaginative but solid enough to allow Jake to go into the middle.

I'm happy with RB being solid as long as we bring in a left back in the Digne/Baines mould.

Just can't help but think Soucek would be next though.

AWB is a typical Everton signing.

Premier league ready. Buy from a relegated club.

It's what we're good at.

He's not even West Ham first choice RB.

Rumour Moyes wants Wan Bassaka, Bowen, Stones and maybe Grealish... our new name should be the Centurions. No future for youth under this dinosaur. I really like Moyes, but he's too rigid in his own beliefs to be our future

This isn't the Moyes of yesteryear when he had his career ahead of him and wanted to build something.

This is a man whose career is behind him. He has no incentive to build for a future team he won't be here to see.

Hence his obsession with the here and now.

Which is the big mismatch in the club's vision.

If you looked up 'whose the equivalent right back for Mykolenko' I'd be amazed if a picture of AWB didn't come up.

This is one of those situation when just being better than JOB shouldn't be the only criteria

The perfect signing for cover for the great right back we want. He wouldn't settle for that so glad we probably aren't in
