Personally I wouldnt look to keep him on and would be devastated if we looked to extend his deal.

I think there are too many Moyes tinted glasses and the usual negativity with regards to where we are. In the last 10 years we have been in a relegation battle 3 times, one of which was attributed to a 8 point deduction. However, all were largely down to massive mismanagement and limitations put on the playing staff, beyond that we have been finishing mid table, give or take a few places either side. Given we have some stability with the ownership there were no real red flags that this trend would continue.

What has Moyes done, when you look at the stats, hes actually been quite fortunate that we arent in a relegation battle this year despite what people say. We have one of the worst home records in the league and performed way above what was expected away, which have now started to revert back to the norm.

He hasnt integrated many of the players signed last summer or during January, instead relying on stalwarts. Hes served up pretty negative, bland football and been knocked out of both cups at the first opportunity. We have also only just equaled the points tally of last season.

Hes proven this isnt a one off, this is Moyes, pragmatism at his best and if we want to tread water then lets jump on board, but I personally dont think it would be hard to improve upon. And improve upon isnt necessarily winning or qualifying for the Champions league etc, even though that should be the ambition, but simply playing a more attacking appealing brand of football and not shitting our pants every time we come up against one of the 'big 6'

Depends how you frame it really... Teams statistically struggle at home in a new stadium, so the excellent away record has kept us away from any danger. Some would see that as a case of the expected and doing supremely well to negate that with one of the best away records in the league.

I'd definitely be one of those people.

If we were going away from home, playing really well and getting the result that different, but that's not what the numbers really say.

Think you're just finding things that don't exist tbh.

I understand what you're saying but football is a results business and I don't see how anyone can state our away points tally is a fluke when we've been pretty consistent over a long period.

I think it just suits our players and tactics more than it being some outrageous bit of luck.

Not averse to him seeing out his contract while we use next season to identify a replacement.

Let him see out the final year of his contract, but wouldn't be adverse to someone better taking over in the summer either.

Further investment in the squad needed. Support him in the market, sort this squad out and he'll have us in Europe, and with a good chance of winning a European trophy.

Got it a bit muddled up today. We clearly went out to win it today and were prepared to leave spaces, but also plays a CM on the wing instead of George... Needs to make his mind up, are we trying to be hard to beat or offensive? You can't be both.

The conundrum will be do they give Moyes more to spend and he doesn't play half the players because they aren't the players he wants, or are the recruitment team going to hold firm

Something has to give. Simply cannot be a repetition of last summer.

I'd prefer a manager who has a little more bravery. Bit more tactical alternatives etc

We won't though and he will get a new contract etc. so will just let it be and hope things turn out differently.

Nothing majorly against the man, he's a solid Premier League manager, I just think he has a different version of ambition to what the owners hopefully have.

Think it's a difficult call because we have been so close to relegation. Think it's easy to forget that because mid table is boring. Would love to see an exciting choice but it's a really dangerous call if it doesn't work out.
