Re: Liam Delap
I’m into it if cost is similar or slightly less than last summer.
He showed enough with Ipswich. Sounds like Moyes made a good pitch for us last summer.
If he consistently puts a shift in, he’ll get time to improve and reach his potential.
I would prefer not to move on from Barry, who I still think will be a player somewhere, but we’re clearly moving on from him because he isn’t showing the requisite work rate
(plus the fallout from the Arsenal incident).

Another player we’ll be moaning about after a few weeks.
Kick and push merchant. Probably will get goals here but will also toey it out of play all the time while he’s at it.
Whatever, at least he’s young.

Re: Liam Delap
Must be about the tenth season in a row we've gone into the summer looking to solve our striker problem.

Re: Liam Delap
He's physical strong and big.....but that's it.
He has no other attributes in my opinion.

Re: Liam Delap
I’d be in if he was quick enough to take the long throw then leg it into the area to head it in himself…

Re: Liam Delap
I'm actually glad we're not linked with Igor Thiago for £60m or whatever he'd cost.
Massive flash in the plan and statistical anomaly. He's not that good, and he'll return to the average player that he is next season. Let Newcastle waste their money on him.

Re: Liam Delap
Would not want to pay a penny more than what Chelsea laid out for him. He's still young enough to come good, but he's definitely not a sure thing. £30m for a young centre forward who may or may not work out is OK I suppose. Wouldn't want is to be spunking any more than that though, especially given that he's going to want a proper wedge too.
