Never realistically going to be anything else.
Real question is who can come on from the bench if Barry throws in a stroppy performance, or takes a knock.
Maybe Alcaraz now back on the bench might be one calls on?

Patterson for Barry, move O'Brien into the middle and just launch bombs for Mick Keggers.

Re: West Ham v Everton
Barry shouldn’t be anywhere near the first team at this point. That we haven’t an alternative Moyes wants to play is a sad indictment of our recent transfer windows.

I'm very much of a 'give him a chance and see what he does' mindset tbh. He has 6 goals in the premier league this season, and so is the obvious replacement for Beto.
Might stink the place out, but also absolutely no evidence Ndaiye or George would do a better job up to, especially with the way Moyes likes to play. You need someone up there capable of winning headers and neither give me much confidence they'd be able to do that.
Hope fans just get behind him today, absolutely nothing to be gained hoping one of your players fails just so you can be proven right.

Not got much of an issue with him starting. Its not like we had many optionsAjaxAndy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2026 1:43 pm I'm very much of a 'give him a chance and see what he does' mindset tbh. He has 6 goals in the premier league this season, and so is the obvious replacement for Beto.

I might be misreading it but felt moyes was very critical when asked what he could do if selected. Play well, score goals, be a team player. Then went on to say if just wanted him to do his best. To me that was suggesting he hadn't been
