What I've grown to love about Kane is that he isn't the world's best in anything.

It's just that he's very capable in everything, which is a total nightmare for a defender, I mean how do you even approach defending against him? Get too close and he'll turn you, keep your distance and he might dribble past you, and if you drop off waiting for him to make a move, he'll just calmly have a go from 25 yards.

This blew me away earlier. Its a 90 minute highlights short of a striker, almost exclusively based on his contribution from his own half.

Re Garner:

Good from what I saw vs Palace, but I wonder if the requirements England have are the ones we have? We need a creative ball player in the middle, maybe a bit more than Garner offers. Do England need a bit of steel?

Fair bit of quality up top (even if very much not on form, except Kane) Ball winner against largely lesser teams necessary? Perhaps against the likes of France Brazil Germany etc?

His performances this season means he deserves a place, but does he fit what England need?

GK: GKx3
Def: FBx4 CBx4
MID: Rice, Henderson, Palmer, Bellingham, Rogers,
ATT: Kane, Rashford, Gordon, Saka

So that's probably 19 nailed on positions just based on Tuchel's preferences

So there'll be 7 positions across the midfield and attack with maybe even another CB in the mix. Would Tuchel pick 3 more CMs in that? You'd say that probably only leaves room for 2 of Wharton, Anderson, Garner and Mainoo.

My gut instinct is he'll just miss out.

If he’s actually picking Henderson as a player over any of those listed rather than a coach to play in 30 degree heat + humidity he’s lost the plot.

Not sure Palmer is even a certainty at this point. If it weren’t for a lack of similar alternatives, really Gordon should also be a decent question mark.

I actually think Garner makes it myself. Anderson is nailed on, don’t think Wharton has a chance.

Garner should go ahead of Mainoo purely because he's a 6, and aside from Anderson we don't have anyone capable of playing that with any real conviction.

I think Tuchel has his head screwed on with regards picking the best squad, not the best players, even if most don't agree with Henderson (basically a squad cheerleader though). So I'd be surprised if he doesn't take Garner and picks another 8 instead.

Garner based on the fact that he can play numerous positions.
