Played well. Deserve the lead. Lets give it in the second half as well as we did the first.

Yeah, great feed and very composed finish. Does anyone think that Dom would have got that past the keeper?

Undoubtedly would have hit it on the floor into the keepers midriff.

Excellent first half, we've looked really good lately and not just like a team that had to put everyone behind the ball against better teams to try and compete!

Great pass by Garner and great finish by Beto, I think we could get another second half as they look weak defensively.

Only concern for me is McNeil who seemed to be bypassed or not in position a few times that half, and it will only be a matter of time they get in if he doesn't step it up.

Grealish would have been loving this Everton.

Tbh I was thinking when I posted it that maybe we're a better team without him.

More of the same in the second half please blues. No reason to change anything here at the moment.

Keep the pressure on that midfield and defence

Got a weird feeling that Dibling is going to secure the win today.

Had exactly the same thought, weirdly enough.

Will we give them too much of the ball this half?

To an extent I see it but ultimately, there’s no way. Grealish is way too good individually at keeping the ball, beating his man, and digging out crosses that find a teammate in the box.

The rest of the team does need to check itself, though. You can’t just pass him the ball and then do whatever.

I think the version of this team with fullbacks who can play and where everyone doesn’t just defer to Grealish is actually quite good. The second half of this season has been a good excuse for the rest of the attack/midfield to step up and take responsibility for retaining the ball and creating chances.

Hopefully, we don’t fall into lazy patterns if he’s back next season (which feels likely but you never know).

I thought KDH would be up for this with something to prove but he’s been very quiet, I’d take him off for Tim who can offer more in the press at least
