That was last season,
Carabao Cup final City V Arsenal

Obviously I can see my massive error in there being two 11th places but if you think I'm bothered to change that for you lot then you're mistaken.

Not trying to over egg the pudding, but Burnley have actually been relatively competitive in recent weeks and probably should've picked up more points but for some poor officiating. They're rarely out of games so would expect it to be a close score line.

I just hope we try something a bit more front foot for these home games because likely they'll be happy to sit back, but I think we all know it's unlikely and I'd expect the same lineup from Newcastle.

Our next 5/6 games after tonight are all tough games we need to win this one and try and beat either Chelsea or the shite at home or both ideally but not expecting much from city and arsenal away last 3 are very winnable would love to relegate spurs last game

Totally Football Show had a short bit on us and questioned if we could get Champions League! Then saying last game of the season we could clinch Champions League and send Spurs down. No chance but nice to hear

After arsenal we're in a position where we play home then away in sequence

And in each pair of fixtures I actually fancy us more on the road

Chelsea & Brentford (probably the most even)
Liverpool & West Ham
City & Palace
Sunderland & Spurs (unless Sunderland are on the beach by then)

Looking at everyone's next 2 fixtures then we will hopefully still be in a similar place afterwards. It does look like a good opportunity for Brentford to pull quite a bit away from us whilst Bournemouth and Fulham do both play Burnley. I don't know if I see those teams behind us taking 6 points though, so hopefully we'll be at least tied for 8th after the Chelsea match even if we only take 1 point from the next two matches. Would be nice to have Brentford in our sights for that away match against them but it feels like a big ask.

To be fair, outside of Arsenal and City, there's not a fixture on any bodies list there I don't think are automatic losses for anybody.

On the other hand, outside of Burnley, I don't think any team is an automatic won for anybody either. It's all pretty tight

Think we need 4 wins. 55 points will get you 7th/8th. Just got to keep picking up points.

We need to get through this next spell of games coming up.

Even if we are 4 or 5 points of a european slot after West Ham away I still feel we have it in us to get 9 or 10 points from those last 4 games. Did it last season, so no reason to suggest why we can't repeat a strong finish this time around.
