As frustrating as some of it is, until he has a fully functional first 11 he can trust, I'm willing to give him some leeway with how we setup. Zero quality at fullback, inconistent quality in attacking spaces (not helped by Graelish getting injured) and a lack of creativity in our central midfielders, mean we are limited in how we can play.

The contrast between good and bad is the hardest part. We have great performances with a more balanced team against Villa and Forrest, but then switch things up only to look worse and lose anyway against other teams.

Ultimately, he's done what he needed to do this year, brought some stability and kept us clear of the relegation battle.

Our long term prospects were ruined after Moyes left but what happened was nothing to do with him and everything to do with mismanagement bordering on negligence

He had Kudus, Bowen etc and still played crap, predictable football and was sacked for it. He gets teams stabilised but then they conceded far too many goals, football was awful and he was sacked.

He’s been outstanding at stabilising us, it’s been remarkable but I think he’s hit a ceiling and we could possibly do better.
