Re: Everton Women
Absolutely no correlation whatsoever. Won a penalty shoot out 4-3!

Heading down at this rate, them, West Ham or Liverpool, and let’s be honest it won’t be the shiteweimaranerblues wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 1:45 pm My my the woman are awful , 3-0 down to west Ham, only won the derby game. Sørensen could be gone soon

Re: Everton Women
I just don't see how they can continue to play at Goodison.
Place looks so awful with so many empty seats.
TFG are going to have to replan here and look at alternative options or revamping Goodison massively.

Re: Everton Women
Yeah, said it on another thread, it looks terrible, big empty spaces where seats have been ripped out, covers hiding the mess underneath in other areas. Not at all befitting of a ground with such great history. Should have pulled it down like they were going to rather than basterdise it like this.
For all the crowds the ladies are getting Walton Hall Park was fine and I don't really see how financially this makes sense either.

Re: Everton Women
Sad. Thought it was a great boost for the women’s game, but I guess I was romanticising it.

Re: Everton Women
Sadly true. When the decision was announced to keep Goodison and use it for the women’s team, I was glad as it kept the Old Lady open and in use but it’s sad to see it like this. Maybe, like you say, it needs a rethink and the site of the stadium used for something productive then see it kind of undermined and being a sad shadow of what is used to be in its current stateGash wrote:Yeah, said it on another thread, it looks terrible, big empty spaces where seats have been ripped out, covers hiding the mess underneath in other areas. Re: Everton Women
Maybe make it free for kids and cheap for adults? Better to have a bigger following engaging with the women’s team.

Re: Everton Women
Was it not the case that Walton Hall Park was going to fall short of getting a top flight licence?
I think attendances have risen too, despite terrible performances.
Not sure if people sitting at home's appreciation of the aesthetics should be a high concern to be honest.
Lots that can be done to redevelop.

Re: Everton Women
Going to the West Ham game with a lad we go to non league with who is a Hammers fan.
It certainly hasn't been an unqualified success but I think every league gate has been higher than Walton Hall Park could hold.
The long term plan (that they announced, whether they stick to it is another matter) was to redevelop into a smaller capacity stadium over time.
I'll do a few games a season for as long as the opportunity is there. Too many memories not to. I actually enjoyed the Forest League cup game earlier in the season too.
