It's fucking mad the coverage this is getting, SSN, BBC Sport etc with "live" updates all morning, I'll be surprise if they don't tell us every time he even goes to the toilet.
This bombing Salah out the club is definitely planned - they didn’t want to let him go for free so they signed him knowing they’d try and force him out for money
Nah it's not planned. He basically won them the Prem last season.
He's been in the team every game until the last week or so, and his form has fallen off a cliff so it's become impossible not to drop him.
They might be able to spin it into a positive with a sale to Saudi for good money in Jan (which is always a card they've had in their back pocket ever since they had him), but this was completely unintentional.
I always enjoy the ego of footballers being shown up. Benched for 3 matches after being shocking for most of 2025 and throws his toys out the pram despite earning £400k per week.
He's shown himself for what he is, it's all about him, always has been. When you go through a rough patch you knuckle down and get on with it, you win as a team and you lose as a team but he's only thinking about himself here. One of their most senior players, a club legend and he's come out with this, throwing a tantrum and blaming everyone else rather than take responsibility when they're already going through a rough patch.
The bit I loved is the "I've done enough for the club, I shouldn't have to earn my place any more" whinge.
Like my dear dude, that's not how it works, that's not how any of this works.
Yes, having done good things in the past should certainly buy you some goodwill but if you consistently perform like shite for several months, what the fuck do you expect the manager to do?

“I’ve done enough for the club “ FFS! Did you do that for free or for tens of millions of pounds ?
