Sadly this is very true.

David Moyes, the Scottish Badger. Fights best when on his back.

Hopefully this win will enable him to think upwards instead of down. I always get the feeling he's a member of the glass half empty gang, in that he always worries about our opposition more than our own strengths and fears we are only a few defeats away from slipping down the league and being in a relegation scrap, so must always be safety first and not blood young players until we have eliminated all risk from our situation.

His tactics might have been out of the window, but culture comes from the top, so any resilience will be at least partly due to the attitude and culture he’s building within the squad. Well done.

Ref should take his time etc

And that he quite likes his players fighting cos it means they care
Yeah, it was a brilliant way of reframing it wasn’t it

He's definitely a "let's get to 40 points and see where we are" guy.

Which is fine - because that's where we currently are as a club

Excellent manager. Record in this second stint is 31 games, 13 wins, 10 draws, 8 defeats.

PPG of 1.58. If you extrapolate that over 38 games that gets you 60 points. Whether we get that or not, we'll see, but he's doing a superb job.

Also as others have said, dealt with the Gana/Keane thing brilliantly. Just took all the air out of the balloon immediately. Lucky to have him.

Agree with a note of caution - there's been many calendar years where his stats look equally as impressive.
One of his issues is he works a team so hard it very rarely lasts over the course of a season.

But, he proved on Monday that he isn't the same manager as last time. So lets see if he can continue to prove his growth.

A lot of us didn't want him but he's the perfect manager for the situation we found ourselves in. New owners and a new stadium needed someone with a level of experience and understanding of Everton. He'll be handing over in the future with the club in a stable condition which is more than we could have hoped for not too long ago

I doubt it. Can't imagine Moyes would do that sort of thing. Would be funny though.

It's 100% legit, I doubt anything interesting will come from it though.

He'll be getting asked questions and someone will type the answers.
