World Cup 2026

Post

Draw next Friday

Pot 1: Canada, Mexico, USA, Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany

Pot 2: Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, Iran, Korea Republic, Ecuador, Austria, Australia

Pot 3: Norway, Panama, Egypt, Algeria, Scotland, Paraguay, Tunisia, Côte d'Ivoire, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa

Pot 4: Jordan, Cabo Verde, Ghana, Curaçao, Haiti, New Zealand, European Play-Off A, B, C and D, FIFA Play-Off Tournament 1 and 2

FIFA already butchering it as much as possible, seeding the top 4 teams (Spain, Argentina, France, England) so they avoid each other until the semis, probably an attempt to ensure Messi gets as far as possible

In the same vein Ronaldo has been let off his automatic 3 match ban for violent conduct and got just a 1 match ban with 2 suspended… such bullshit

One match, which was their game against Armenia, so he can now play in all the WC matches

Basically the only 'group of death' is if one of the better teams in Pot 2 and one of the non-hosts from pot 1 draw Norway.

And even then they'll all go through with 8/12 3rd place teams progressing.

Absolute waste of time.

Shouldn't that be how it's meant to be if your seeded 1 to 4 etc . Is it still a case you need to top the group or have they been kept apart even if the finish second too

Canada, Australia, Scotland, Cape Verde

The reality:

Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, European Playoff Winner (probably Italy)

I was going Boyle, but yeah maybe the self proclaimed "Cum-Dog" might be another. :?

EDIT: I like Souttar, a good fella and he puts in, and is important for the team.

I was just having a read up on Boyle, I'd forgotten he went to Saudi in between stints at Hibs.

Good to have around the team but think his days are numbered.

Irankunda, Mo Toure and Kuol are probably the most exciting players at the moment. Hopefully a good tournament for them to show their wares with little expectation or pressure.

I want to go, been looking at tickets for matches at Sofi stadium and Levis stadium. $1500 for the uppermost seats is bananas.
