He was mad to go to Sociadad, Sunderland, no idea, wasn’t following him or Sunderland, West Ham, didn’t he get them into Europe and what you call the second sacking was just an end of contract thing ?
I'm sure Moyes had a fallout with the Director of Football before he left Westham. I think they had a contract on the table then pulled it when it all started to breakdown, I think they lost a few on the bounce on top of the behind the scenes drama.

Given that, it's a little concerning that there seems to be some level of disconnect between Moyes and the recruitment side of things, or at least how to use those players.

Not what I meant he could have gotten us relegated and bill wouldn’t sack him football is different now and a bad run of results and the Americans could pull the trigger

Difficult situation.

Finish mid table - hits expectations but you maybe want someone to kick on?
Finish challenging for Europe - above expectations, but do you striker while the irons hot?
Finish battling relly gelly? - below par, but do we want to go into the season after that with an unknown quantity at the helm?
Get relly gelly - got to go of course

Got to be honest, 'relly gelly' is a borderline bannable offence.

Can't expect anything more than mid-table with this squad. In fact I'd say the squad is so toothless that I doubt the transfer committee have much of a plan for any kind of coach.
Plod on while mid-table is still attainable. After all what's another couple of seasons on top of the last quarter of a century.

What is par for Everton this season? 12th to 14th? Aside from Sunderland, who should we be finishing above and have a better squad than? Brentford maybe? Finishing actual midtable in say 10th would be some accomplishment given the current squad issues and looking at the strength of other teams.
