Re: January
A right back, a left back and striker, because all 3 positions are killing us.
For me the full backs are the most important, because what we have now are offering nothing as an attacking option.
Toney on loan would be great, but the full backs have to be sorted, this has gone on far too long already

Re: January
Also let's remember we signed the following:
A young athletic striker who scored double figures in La Liga.
A young LB who came through the Barcelona youth set up, signed for Bayern and played 13 games in La Liga last season.
A young RW with Premier League experience who by many in the game is tipped to go to the very top.
A good CM who was a key part of Chelsea's European campaigns and Club World Cup success.
And to top it all off Jack fucking Grealish.
I haven't included Rohl as he's still an unknown quantity and we also made Alcaraz permanent who has obvious qualities that KDH doesn't have as a 10.
I love Moyes, but I think we need to be asking questions of the manager rather than looking at needing to buy players in Jan. He's under utilising the new signings, setting us up poorly and not maximising the talent the squad has.
I'm not calling for Moyes out, but as far as personnel changes go I think if we're still struggling in January there's a valid argument for a new manager over new players.

Can’t really argue with the point you’re making, but I don’t really want to see Moyes go in Jan - I’d like to see him be more adventurous.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 30, 2025 3:09 pm Also let's remember we signed the following:

My take is that he thinks if he makes tiny tweaks to the team, it can always be easily reversed with little fuss. However, sometimes you need to try something very different if your current reiterations of the same system keep giving you the same results.
Definition of madness, innit?

Re: January
I still wonder what input Moyes had into dibling Barry and aznou were they bought by the club dof and Moyes has to coach them id say in January if any player comes in it will be of the more experienced variety

Re: January
Going to be hard getting some young talented players in with Moyes at the helm, a quick look at his teamsheets and subs and you will be thinking you are going to be getting a lot of splinters in your arse.

Might have to get a loan or two.Blues Mahoney wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 10:34 pm We might not have any money. £116 million net spend.
Time to start looking at other top flight squads and seeing who has decent strikers or RBs who need game time.
