The below article is from 3 years ago but shows that Marinakis was considering Benitez - as well as Sean Dyche - to replace Steve Cooper back when Forest were on a poor run in the Premier League https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... ob-manager

I don't really rate Ange, and he may be the wrong appointment for Forrest, but fans calling for his head after just 6 games is bananas.

Yeah, should at least keep him until the end of next season so he can win a trophy :snigger:

That sounds like a plan. He could take them down this year, then win the Championship next season to maintain his record of always winning something in his second season.

Might keep them up but they can forget about the Europa League. Think the 3 promoted sides could scupper his dire football though and I'd love him to take them down.

Think if he has good enough players, which he does, he can get by with being solid at the back and relying on gibbs white and the likes to come up with some quality.

Don’t think he’ll cope well with the extra European demands though considering how lazy he seems to be as a manager.

Think Nuno built a stable of defenders that suit a Dyche team. He’ll also have Chris Wood there too, who fits his system.

Not sticking my neck out terribly far here, but he'd be better than Ange with that squad.

Nuno's season last year (and Chris Wood's season of his life) have set some very unrealistic expectations there mind.
In a world full of adversity, we must still dare to dream.

When will clubs learn to stay the fuck away from Joorabchian and his pals?

Chaos agents who will destroy anything and everything to get paid.

Close relationship with Edu.

They have form for making crappy deals at Arsenal.

Wouldn’t be shocked if Rafa or Dyche rocks up there when they lose patience with Ange.
