Re: Michael Keane
Wasn’t too long ago when there were groans when Micheal Keane was on the pitch.
Now it’s groans when he goes down injured and has to come off.
Some turnaround for the lad. Genuinely been very good and isn’t just getting praise because the standards are so low with him.
Branthwaite left back anyone?

Re: Michael Keane
He was faultless again before he went off. Loving The Second Coming of Michael Keane (title of the next Cannes Jury prize winner).
Re: Michael Keane
(I think he's been excellent this season and hopefully his injury isn't too bad)
If he's out for a little while then it's a blessing in disguise for us imo. Will force Moyes to move JOB to CB and then he'll have to put Garner or one of our 2 actual RBs in the RB position.

Re: Michael Keane
Yeah, it feels like we require a few injuries or suspensions to key players before Moyes realises “Actually this player is best playing at centre back” or “This player can actually play centrally behind the striker”
Please Moyes, consider playing players in their actual best positions, you might get a performance out of the whole team if you play to most of the team’s strengths.

Re: Michael Keane
Think mykolenko is an even bigger problem on the left myself.
He’s terrible, and with Grealish hugging the touchline it means he’s coming infield with the ball and it’s horrible to watch. Don’t even think he’s good at defending anymore.
Would much rather see Brathwaite in getting the ball in that position.
If Keane is injured he has to slot back in at centre half though.

Moyes first start of a teenager in 185 games.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 10:50 pm Mykolenko was so so poor today. Is Aznou a complete no go??
I think you can do the math here...

Re: Michael Keane
I think given his current form, and that he's good in the air and the best finisher at the club, there's a strong case to say he should be playing up top instead of Beto and Barry

This made me laugh - but because we’re ALL thinking it!dazfrancis wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 5:12 am I think given his current form, and that he's good in the air and the best finisher at the club, there's a strong case to say he should be playing up top instead of Beto and Barry
And if anyone comes on here and says they’re not thinking it - that just proves they’re the ones who are thinking it the most!

Re: Michael Keane
Put Grealish in the 10 so we can make the ball stick in the middle and Ndiaye back on the left driving inside to support the striker and Myko will look fine again bombing up and down.TheRam wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 10:43 pm Think mykolenko is an even bigger problem on the left myself.

What we really need though is a proper attacking right back so that Myko can do what he does best and focus on defending, playing a centre back at right back means that we need Myko to be the attacking full back and he's not good at that

Re: Michael Keane
It's a very small data point available but against Roma Aznou looked like an actual child being obliterated by their winger. No physical presence at all.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Sun Oct 05, 2025 10:50 pm Mykolenko was so so poor today. Is Aznou a complete no go??
I'd be very concerned to see him coming on in the league.
Like I said tho, 1 game, could have been just a mad debut for him.
