People complained about the Gueye coming off because taking him off and replacing him with Iroegbunam when trying to close out a game is a questionable substituion.

We're not in any danger of flogging players to death at the moment, that's just complete hyperbole. We do have some options and changes we can make and we're not in a terrible position squad-wise, but the issue with last night was with going too far with the number of changes and ending up with a disjointed team on the pitch.

When we're in position to put Garner or Rohl or even a 3rd CB, not when it's like for like with Iroegbunam. Or when we're halfway through the season and he genuinely needs a rest and genuinely couldn't manage those last 15.

Which would still be a massive step up from where we've been for the last 5+ years to be fair.

It's probably the medicine we need to get the playing side of the club back on track.

We're one Keane meltdown, injury to gueye, pickford, grealish or ndaiye away from all of the positives we've seen this season resetting back to last seasons survival mode.

Iroegbunam’s got a toolbox (quick, can pass, dribble, even tackle) so maybe Moyes thinks he can help him knit it altogether and he’ll be a good player, but I just can’t see it myself.

If anything another game will get the first team lads fitter and sharper and more likely to get better playing together.

There's no excuse for what he did last night.
The amount of changes was ludicrous, with a central midfield of garner and iroeghbunham(who's utter shite) there was only one way it was going to end for us, the same as is always does out of a cup with a whimper.
Honestly, i can't get my head around his way of thinking.
And i'm still fuming over it
