If he’s willing to come here we should be all over Sanchez, touted price is twenty mil and we can give them Patterson on loan to fill the gap created

Don’t think Sevilla is his level, they are a good side.

Gone under the radar but bit of a fuck up that he's still here rather than sold or on loan somewhere. Not sure on his injury but given he was linked with Sevilla then it can't be a bad one.

Don't understand why we didn't just send him to a championship team

I think If we’d of gotten a right back over the line then he would have gone out… but we didn’t.

The Seville move may of also fell over for the same reason

Would have been mad to let an actual right back go without getting a replacement.

I’d totally written him off and the first 20 minutes or so did little to change my mind.

But maybe there’s something there after all…rather see him again in the next game & leave big Jake at CB

Yeah he was all over the place early on but was absolutely fine when he settled. As lots of us have said, the benefits of having an actual RB playing at RB are massive. He just needs to be competent there and he was once he'd calmed down

Grew into the game, looked like he was running in treacle at the start but eventually got a bit more up to pace. Dibling helped a bit too and eventually CHO started having to cut back inside and square the ball and even swapped sides a couple of times. Did alright considering he's had zero game time.

Looked fucked when he came off but definitely worth giving a go and had a nice little run in the second half at one point.

Noticed that him and Myko were swapping whenever Forest had a corner on the right which was a little strange.

Worried for him when he fell over on one of their attacks in the first half but yeah he grew into it. Clearly got leggy later on though too as you'd expect with his amount of playing time.

Weirdly if Patterson was a little more fit and able to run on, he'd be a great partner potentially for Dibling who probably would like someone to interchange with on that side. There was even flashes of it at times like when Dibling dummied the ball and Patterson ran onto it.

That said, I would be pretty surprised if it stops us looking for another RB in January. Would need a very good run of form to stop that.

I thought he was solid. I’d like to see more.

We’re a midtable team, I want to see all of the younger players in the squad get as much of a run as they can as long as they aren’t disgracing themselves and there aren’t obvious better options at their position.

He's got that one touch pass and go in him (if he has the players around him on the same wave length in the middle of the park) and think that can really cut teams open.

I think it's his best trait over and above any defensive skills. I'd have him as a wing back if we were playing 5 at the back, but cant see that happening except during games we're already ahead in.

For the first time in a long time it actually feels like he might have one (a future here).

He did get roasted once or twice but he was against some very difficult players in CHO, Bakwa (might have gone off at this point actually) and Hutchinson.

I just wonder if its too far gone for him now. Moyes has improved the likes of Tim and Garner amongst others but hasnt really seemed to get behind Patto, hoping he's not a lost cause. If he could do a job I'd still prefer him over Jake depending upon who we're up against.

Can’t be too far gone.

We need to squeeze every little bit we can out of every potential asset in the squad.

Give him all the matches we can while we have no other natural right backs available. If he starts costing points, drop him and let him go. If he starts performing, that’s found money.

I agree with the essence of the argument, and more than many I'd love him to succeed, but I wonder if he has already cost us, or there is something we don't know, as a few managers have passed up on him.

Thought he was great when he was on tour over here, athleticism/fitness is a lot of his game though I think. He flew up the sidelines like the proverbial steam train.

Can technique be improved? Tactical side can...

One more chance? I suppose mistakes this season are less costly than they have been in his past seasons here.

And Jake is so good where he is.
