It would be good to have FB's that can bomb on a give us width if we're going all in on back-to-goal-and-spin-the-defender-low-sock-ballers. Myko and JOB are not that
I reckon Grealish and KDH both have enough footballing intelligence to be able to flow in and around each other without tripping over each other - especially if they’re being coached to a plan.

If Grealish signs early and the right isn't sorted, Moyes probably throws Ndiaye on the right until we get someone in and up to speed.

Checked his stats, just out of interest…in terms of basic goals/assists they’re lower than I thought they’d be. More so the assists, I thought they’d be a bit higher.

He’s obviously bringing other elements to the game but most of his seasons at Man City his goals and assists were low:
1 goal 1 assist 24/25
3 goals 1 assist 23/24
5 goals 7 assists 22/23
3 goals 3 assists 21/22

His last two seasons for Villa were more productive (6 goals, 10 assists, 8 goals 6 assists), but that was probably him playing more centrally. I wonder if we’d look to play him in that role rather than on the wing?

Was always crazy high for most fouled stats as well though. If we can convert a decent percent of those then we’re good. KDH corners looked good yesterday but would be great to get a RB or another midfielder who are good with deadballs

I think he'd be a bit of an eye opener in terms of just like regular technique and speed of decisions. The levels these teams are at now compared to us he'd look like he was playing at a different speed altogether I think.

I wouldn’t read too much in to goals and assists, I bet his pre assists are sky high, similar to Pienaar, it was his link up with Baines that created the assists.

I’m not believing we’re paying him 250k a week.

I think City will probably want £12-15m for him which would be a mixture of wages and loan fee.

If we bring someone in on 250k a week then that’s going to cause issues in the dressing room.

Whatever we save on his wages should go on the loan fee as the optics to that are a lot better.

If we sign Dibling that’s over £70m invested in players 21 and under so I’ll allow the owners being a bit daft if they want.

It’s not like we’re signing James on top of Allan and Doucoure who were all dead money. We’re making smart enough moves now to make some room for the nonsense we so love to be a part of.

All for him like. Will be our best player by some distance and I think he still has a lot to offer the game.

I feel better about this one than I did James, Dele and Eto.

Shame there's not a world class player on £300k a week on the outs at a top club somewhere that we could make our marquee headline signing to herald the new regime that maybe plays as a RB or a RW or a CM perhaps.

“I would imagine Everton will pay around £90,000 (per week),” King said.

Former Everton Scout, Bryan King

Also goes on about a loan including an option to buy clause.

Seems a bit fanciful. Not sure we'd afford him either, unless his contract was expiring, and even then a big sign on fee...?
