Going to the Roma game in the full knowledge that it is likely to be my only visit of the season (especially reading the tickets thread - WTF?) - so if it takes hours and I’m the last one out I’m at peace with it already. My biggest current concern is will I still fit in my ‘Bring Back The Strac’ T-shirt?

It’s nearly time for you to find out the exact location of your Everton Way stone at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Following the completion of the special paved walkway, running the length of the iconic south stand and featuring granite stones that celebrate the passion of Blues fans around the world, a mapping project to help supporters identify their stone’s reference point is almost complete.

An email with information and instructions on how to locate your stone within the completed scheme (including a link to a visual map) will be sent early next week. We strongly suggest you save this link, download the map or take a screen shot and print the map to assist you in finding your stone.

The first opportunity to view Everton Way, which also celebrates Everton’s identity, achievements and the greatest players to have represented the Club, comes at the prestigious pre-season friendly against AS Roma on Saturday 9 August.

Everton Way will be accessible from midday to all fans who hold a valid match ticket for this game. Due to the nature of the final test event, access to the site is restricted to those with match tickets.

A further announcement, regarding more widespread access, will be made when the scheme is made available to the public later this month.

Just got an email saying they'll be sending out details of where to find the Everton Way engraved stones near the south stand start of next week.

Will be cool to see all of them in person. Those who have a ticket to the Roma game can see them from midday on the day of the game.

Anyone know if you can take a small backpack/rucksack in to the ground?

Think it's not allowed officially but I saw a lad get in at Goodison Park with a normal sized backpack last season, they just searched it obviously.

No. The club will be implementing a strict bag policy at the new stadium. I'm going to hazard a guess that it will be similar to the policy at the shite, A5 or smaller with the only exception being clear plastic bags containing items purchased from the club store on the day.

Bollocks, I’m coming on the train and will be a 12 hour day, my phone charging port is buggered so have to use a charging stand, that’s not fitting in my pocket. Plus me snacks and beer (for the train 🚂)

Went the shop today.

Second floor is a bit of a mission.
The view of the waterworks between the tower and the stadium is painful.
Stunk of shit.

The shop is pretty good though. Only the same stuff as Liverpool One. But neat, tidy and the staff were all mega helpful and attentive.

Plenty of space, which feels shit when you're the only people in there, makes it look barren. But that will be super important on match days when it is rammed.

Can I bring a bag into the stadium?

Bringing bags to the stadium is actively discouraged. However, fans arriving at the stadium with a small personal bag (i.e. handbag/medical bag) is permitted. Bags should not exceed A5 size (148.5 x 210 mm / 5.8 x 8.3 inches).

Please do not bring large bags or luggage such as rucksacks, briefcases, suitcases or suit bags to Goodison Park as we cannot permit them to be taken into the stadium.

Please note that there is nowhere to store such items on Club premises, however there are a number of left luggage facilities in Liverpool city centre. More information about these can be found

This is a change from GP, I almost always brought a small rucksack with iPad, chargers, sarnie, hat scarf etc. in winter, I get the train up from London and couldn’t do without, guess I might have to ditch the iPad etc.
