Shogun wrote: Fri Aug 01, 2025 11:45 am Lots of confusion. From what I can tell:

- The ballot for Forever Blue + went on Monday and closed Tuesday.

- On Thursday, they didn't get the emails out but took payments from people who were successful. This was staggered rather than all at once. There were unsuccessful people, so this would have been the only ballot.

- Today at 10am ish, the resale window went on the website for Forever Blue + and Forever Blue members.

- There was about 5 tickets and I was on there immediately. I assume these were successful ballot winners that they couldn't take payment from and therefore were put up for sale.

- It seems like some people were given more tickets than they applied for and will have to return them. How many, who knows.

- It's been quite the clusterfuck
I see Craig David has took over the ticketing office.

I’ve just seen £75 payment taken from me so I presume I’ve been successful in the ballot but had no email.

Also I thought £75 was a Cat A game? Is it because it’s the first game of the season?

He'd have done a better job.

Yeah, I think so, not a chance Brighton is normally a Cat A game. Sneaky little bit of profiteering by the club.

I wonder how many times they will side shift a match into a higher category.

3rd Sunday match in a row? Cat A

Unusually warm day for this time of year? Cat A

First time playing this team in years? Cat A

Bank Holiday matchday? Cat A

I can understand this one being the first at BMD but really other than that the usual Man City, Utd and Liverpool should be the only Cat A games.

Yeah was just being flippant 🤪

Probably last game of the season will be Cat A regardless of opponent as well. Supply and demand and all that I guess.

Still have no idea what stand I’ve been given like, and would have been nice to have seen prices before I committed to ballot (all I got was a £1 per stand dropdown price).

Excited to at least have the opportunity to be there for the first league game, in spite of the process.

Re: Tickets

I don't usually post on here but have been following this thread with interest since last night.

I've not recieved an e-mail yet but also have money taken and seats allocated in my account as of around 8pm last night.

The reason that I post is because i did pop on the website out of curiosity at 10:05 this morning. There were definitely tickets available on the conventional seat map (i'd estimate about 35 - 50) and i could choose the category of ticket, e.g., senior, adult, junior etc. The latter point makes me convinced that these were not resale tickets but instead the final phase of the process was implemented such that they went on sale to forever blue members at 10:00 on a first come first served basis. I'm therefore convinced that everbody in forever blue + who applied should have got a ticket eventually and I would absolutely be seeking clarity from the club about it if you didnt - though i have read somewhere that someone was told on the phone that they had been unsuccessful.

Those with "value" in the ticket section of the app but no bank payment taken, it is possible that they are attempting to take the payment but some level of security is blocking it, so I'd contact the club for clarity ASAP.

Also, my hunch for some Forever Blue + members who have been genuinely unsuccesful could be that they ticked that poorly phrased tick-box on ballot entry after selecting their two preferred locations. The double negative wording in the tick-box passage made it pretty confusing but it needed to be left unticked for consideration in other seats beyond the two preferred choices. Amongst other things, the club absolutely need to address that poorly worded tick-box passage of text so that its meaning is absolutely clear to everybody.

Just my own personal musings. :)

Good to see the club's efforts to run a ballot and weed out the touts has worked well.

Saw on a Facebook site that someone had got through to the club, they said they've had a system failure and are working to sort it.

I can't remember ticking a box, but may well have done. Was this basically saying, if you're unsuccessful with your priority seating areas, that you didn't want to be allocated a ticket in any other area of the stadium?

Re: Tickets

Apparently this mornings tickets up for sale were those that season ticket holders had put on the resale platform. That's according to the Fan engagement account on X

Getting more confusing and anger inducing by the hour.
